F.S. Splitty single cab (I'm gonna regret this)
stephenianjames - March 3rd, 2005 at 11:57 AM

Hey guys,

Just picked up my single cab on Tuesday night, but have decided to pass it onto someone else who is likely to be able to do something with it.

Apart from the fact I will be flat out at least for the next 6 months renovating/building, I have copped an extreme amount of grief at home for buying the ute, and so it must go.

For pics of the beast please refer to 'Member's Ride' under my post about my new single cab splitty.

I paid $1200 for the ute and spent just over $150 moving it, so I really want $1350 for the thing (dont really wanna miss out). If I dont get what it owes me I'll store it away and put up with the grief.

Description of the ute:

-1963 non-runner with original 1500 engine (stripped but looks as though barrels, crank etc has little wear and could be re-used)
- Ute is complete with original gearbox (still in car) and everything else either on the car or working
- Brakes still operating
- Off the top of my head, will need the following rust fixed ..L&R sills inner and outer, LH dogleg, section of floor inside of treasure chest, part of panel LHS in front of chest door)

There may be more and I will go over more throughly tonight when I get home.

If anyone is keen I'd suggest phoning me on 0408137017 to arrange an inspection!

I'm located in Hughesdale, Melbourne (near Chadstone shopping centre)

I hate selling it but it isnt the right time to be doing such a project. Sorry to Mark (jnr356) esp for selling it again so soon.

Cheers,

Steve

Yes - these things are sometimes a great shock to others
(especially significant Os) when they actually see them 'in the flesh'....

Got any pics?

Will post pics...hopefully tonight.

I have received a phone call and a U2U from 2 interested parties, who are first in the queue. If anyone else is interested please U2U me and you guys will join the queue! However the 2 currently interested parties seem very keen so it is likely to be sold to one of them.

Cheers,

Steve

Seems a lot of splits just get passed from one person to the other without them actually getting on the road?????

Cheers
Dave

Yeah you may be right dave.
I'm just around the corner from heatherdale/hughesdale/whatever, wouldn't mind a look even if I can't buy it.

You're right Dave..buses do get turned over regularly. However my philosophy is to let someone else have a go. I know it was a quick turnaround but I bought the thing impulsively, and have realised that the house reno's must take priority.
