Looking for a bug 1969 upwards, it will be going to a good home!

I am looking to buy in the next two weeks a 1969+ VW beetle! My boyfriend and I will be restoring it :)

The beetle must have a good straight body, mechanically good (engine and gearbox), it doesn't matter about the paint and interior but it would be preferably good if it was still registered/still being driven on the road.

U2U me if you are selling or have seen a bug for sale, and I can have a look at it.

I am in the Ipswich/Brisbane area! Thanks everyone!!

I meant to ask... what was wrong with a 1968 Beetle??

they are identical to a 1969 Beetle.... 12 Volt- front disc brakes- torsion bar front end.. etc..

and nearly identical to a 1976 Beetle... excepting these have flow thru ventilation and IRS rear end....

1968-1970 standard Beetle with torsion bar front end...
less troublesome than a SuperBug with McPherson strut
front end... [IMHO]

1971-72 1302S Super bugs [flat windscreen]
1973-75 1303S Superbugs [curved windscreen]
1976 Beetle -- flat windscreen again
