It is with great reluctance that I announce that I will sell My 59 Splitty,
This 11 window Kombie has not travelled under its own power for about 25 years or more, it still has the semaphores and all the 9 original seats.
It has some front damage but is quite restoreable,
with my army of historic vehicles mounting much faster than my Job Prospects now, I offer this Kombie for Sale, reluctantly,
there is no motor but it is a rolling concern.
My Name is Anthony
I live at Ormeau on the gold coast.
the description is above
and the condition is restorable yet poor condition.
the Price is $1500 or best offer
My Phone Number is
0411 637 286
and the VIN is stamped in the engine bay :thumb
Rest assured it is not encumberred, and it was made in December 59

more pics
the front dash
the bad bit, which can be quite easily repaired if you know what you are doing.
its not too bad rust wise but as expected it has a little, but has always been stored in a dry environment.
hi anthony, can you please send some fotos to gerdschenk@optusnet.net.au thanks andreas
Wonder how many front sections are out there for the repair of this bus !
easy just like that 55 model that went to the states ,don't show the front and what they don't know won't hurt them
classic vw pacific sells new front panels etc
[Edited on 6/4/2005 by kombibob]
will see about that repair section for you as I forgot about it, will call him
Thanks Rob,
I would rather keep it but I am running out of money and not running out of cars.
I also have my GSXR 1100 for sale too, Hope that sells first so I can just keep the kombie, Its much easier to buy another bike next summer than it is
to buy a 59 kombie with seats and semaphores still inside.
If I can get the money I am asking for it in the trading post, I can live with my decision, but otherwise I shall just plan to restore it when all the
parts come together, Like the front panel from your friend.
For the moment I am busy with the 64 Panelvan and getting it up and running, I have plenty of time to fix it but no money to spend on it at the
moment, A world wide adventure, a 57 chev and No job since August spells broke, I can survive ok with my DJ job, but can't get too excited about
buying window rubbers etc for the panelvan till something changes.
Cheers Anthony
Today I took some photos, and put them on my website.
Here
these may inspire or deter people, depends on what they are looking for.

this may help if some one wants to repair
Thanks eirecooled
I have told the people who bought Wilson, about the part you have and they might contact you about it.
Thanks
Anthony
I feel comfortable that Wilson is going to a good home,
A couple from Brisbane have adopted him, and plan to do the necesary work to see him on the road again some time in the near future.
I have been inundated with phone calls.
Some in the hope that I may have a real gem and be unaware or my good fortune.
Thank you to all the genuine enquirers.
Cheers Anthony
Herbie, i have a mate selling a couple, 67 and a 59, anyone else calls ya you are welcome to give them my number 0400 161412, there is a thread here

Andy
hi Anthony, congrats on the sale and glad to hear its going to a good home!!!i think the only problem with this kombi was that it needed a full front
cut in good nick (which i have)which is hard to come by these days(which was reflected in the price...it was cheap!!!).if it wasnt for time
constraints i would have come down for a look.but because ive got to set my priorities on my future project and getting ready to leave in 2
weeks...just didnt make sence investing $$$ into a car that i wont even be able to touch for another year.thanks for the photos anyway and best
regards Andreas
