I have replaced my Baja with a buggy! I have no room for the new car so the baja has to go!
Clicky! (Dialup beware)
*NOTE* the wheels and tyres on it as it is up for sale are the widened stockos as per the front ones in the picture. The sunraysiers are going on the
buggy.
The good:
'68 model beetle
1600cc Type 3 motor with twin carbs, goes great! very reliable,
Disc brake ball joint front end, swinger rear.
type 1 tinware conversion,
mild cam,
New clutch!
New front pads,
Brand new tyres all round,
Widened rims,
Hyundai yellow paint, gets lots of apreciative looks!
Rego until May
Clutch tube has been repaired,
Comes with a spare 1500 single port motor in good condition except for the clutch.
Plenty of spares, pick what you want.
The not so good:
It needs repair to the sill for rego. The replacement panels are pretty cheap from Classic Pacific though, support AVD members!
Shockies are a bit old, I think one has leaked, it really needs new back ones at least..
Needs a handbrake adjustment.
Has a CD player but it's not hooked up (why bother when you have twin carbs to listen to hehe)
The Price! Now on ebay for $1000
Car is in Newcastle,
my mobile is 0412 058 170

Ahhh, Jim you have seen the light my friend.
Good onya for going the buggy.
only if I can sell the baja!
Baja for sale, Baja for sale.
Come get your cheap Bajas now.
Only while stocks last.
:P
it's now on ebay... hopefully it sells ok so I can afford to enjoy my new buggy!
Hmmm someone must want it to use as a buggy base and through the body away, :vader
it'd be ideal for that! the pan is durned close to immaculate!
I picked up the buggy tonight. Looks good but for a few annoying things, and the drive home in the cold rain was NOT fun, I think the carby was icing
up, it was kicking, missing and bucking like a gaffed tuna. Not fun at all, took ages to drive the length of the F3 at 60kph
Well it didn't sell on ebay so I have put it on there for a grand.
I will sell the spare 1500 single port motor (good condition) and all the spares separately if anyone wants anything. If it doesn't sell this time
it's getting wrecked.
A mate of mine is just about to get his license back, and has been helping me with my car....he wants a baja....this is the yellow one right. Please
call me on 0416 115 993 and I will try and call him now!
matt
yep it's the yellow one, but the sills are rotted out (the only major problem with the car).
I got your call but thought you said 113 LOL oops!
Damn! thats a bargain! if it was up here i'd consider buying it.
Can't see it on ebay
That is a champion baja.
I'm looking for a vw beetle 1500 floorpan, and from the year of make of your baja ('68), that appears to be the right floorpan.
However, If only I had the cash and the space, I would buy it. At the earliest, it would be Christmas or late January before I have a chance at
purchasing it. Sorry.
But if I could, I would.
If I did have opportunity, is it possible to get it shipped to south-east queensland from New castle. (It would probably cost more than the car
though)
From Chris (mynameischris88@hotmail.com)
that photo makes an awesome wallpaper.
Your car is now set on my desktop. Certainly beautiful.
Noooooooo not the buggy :P
shame it's looking like it's going to be dismantled to be sold as parts and the shell cut up with an axe! Someone better buy it this time!
I have some type 3 tinware and the 1500cc single port on ebay now too.

Well, if you don't want the baja to be sold as parts, you can give it to me for free if you want. lol
:thumb
you're a funny guy. Got a sister? I might consider a trade :P
na, sorry, only 3 brothers.
But oh GOD, that would be mad to own as my 1st car.
Sold, and to someone from these forums apparently! Hope the new owner has as much fun with it as I have!
