Yes the Notch is for sale!
No motor , with l bug irs box.Was going to get turned into a street /strip honey however i have just been offered a 66 bug that has had a front ender.
Notch is a good , solid car so makes sense to hack up the bug for the T4 rather than the Notch, cheaper to race prep the body aswell!
Okay here's whats available.
65 Notch body stripped of bonnet , guards , interior etc. Body requires very minor rust spot repairs , NOTHING MAJOR!!!. Headlining mint and just dyed
black. Dash rooted but included along with clocks etc.
Pan is great with IRS ( L bug ) and disc front. No shocks but all steering and braking .
Some interior is available as is rear lights , reflectors , lenses , front indicators.
All panels ( except doors, on car) are part stripped ready for paint , again no major repairs required.
This would make a brilliant basis for ANY project! Resto , race , rat , whatever! Early Solid Notches arent that plentiful with IRS and discs it's
ideal. I have my square now so still have a type3 , wouldnt be without one!!!!!
Paint it , prime it , rust it , lower it and your off. Pretty much a rolling shell , needs interior, motor plus bits to finish. Have the 1776 which
could go with car if interested.
$1400 ovno , $1,100 without box.
Buyer collects
Genuine sale and great buy for someone!
See my thread in members forum and you'll see the car inside and out! Pic of car before strip...
Please U2u , etc
Cheers Dan

I can't believe you're selling this!! lol..
Oh.. do you still have those wheels in the pic? I like them....
yeh wheels got my attention aswell, dont think ive seen em b4
Well i've got first dibs if he does still have them!!
See Kai , he's the new owner of them. Yea never seen them before myselff , nice rim.
dan:thumb
mmmmmm Dan is it a rolling shell?
like can i put it on a car trailer.
Yes Nige , rolling , rolling , rolling!
Dan:thumb
I thought yd like that.
So dose any new stuff come with the car only as you mentioned before getting new glass etc for it. What ya doing with ya new exhaust puting on the
square?
Im thinking is gon be a pain in the ass to get back here in bits will investigate transport companies policies as to how complete a car has to be.
Stay cool Nige
Nige it is basically a shell with guards and boot/ bonnet off. Totally stripped apart from dash and good headlining. As said it is a project , yet to
be painted ( saving paint as ive already had it mixed and cost a fortune), needs an interior , motor and box ( can be supplied) along with all the
finery.
New glass MAY be available along with original but any new parts like exhaust , ignition etc will be going on the square as will bumpers.
It is basically a rolling shell requiring paint and a few minor rust repairs available with some parts . It's nice and solid basis for an early notch
looker.
Would do a good deal on car/box and motor if sold as a whole

hehe danny is that now 3 cars you've gone through?
bump
Hehe , cant help myself. Squares staying for sure , Type 3's are way cool and it's a cruisey ride. The Notch is too good to hack up. I now have a 66
bug , given it , cost me the tow! Been hit hard front , all cosmetic , ideal to use as a race car and have some fun T4 style. Will be stored til i get
a workshop. Would be great to see the Notch go to a good home , nice project.
Ho hum!
Dan:thumb
I am confused. Is the original glass on or off the car?
Cheers.
Petri
The glass it out of the car. As stated it's a rolling stripped shell. Front and rear rubbers are pretty new , Rear 1'4's need new rubbers. I have
had some other glass made in a mid grey but that is already sold.
Many thanks Dan:thumb
Bumped due to a no show!
Dan
After alot of interest and a few no shows the Notch is still for sale. Price dropped , shell $700 , with box $900 and with 1776 motor $1350.

IRS / disc 65 complete shell , most interior , rear lights and lenses , dash with clocks . Rolling , with brakes and steering.

Dan
When was it last registered?
Hi Dan,
Just how rooted are the seats?
Gotta be better than milk crates!
Cheers mate,
Toby
OE seats are rooted , need recovering and bending back into shape. L bug seats are great.
Now this is a threat!
First person with $500 gets this baby , read again , $500!!!
Otherwise it goes O/S !!!!!!
Dan:thumb
Ok cool Dan re the original seats.
Will the L bug seats fit my 68 notch original runners? (early type 3 runners)
If so, and you want to separate them please let me know.
You are selling a real bargain from what I've seen. If I had the room and cash blah blah blah....
Thanks.
Now included one dirty ashtray and a lighter as i've given up smoking (3 days)!!!!
Dan
Bump!

Danny I know a couple of guys who are impulsive and might buy it, but we need to see more pics, show us the minimal rust. Its a long way to come from
Melbourne and be surprised.
Pat
Well you all had your chances ! I'm keeping it , building it to cams spec and have some fun at the drags and maybe join Greg and Craig and have a
thrash up some hills!
