Very nice. Definitely wouldn't mind that. Its an incredible effect how the car can look so far original and inviting with just the removal of the roof. Hmm.

Interetsing car, I wonder what the car looks like with the roof up?

10k!! There's hope for mine yet (wait til I tell the wife all that money I've tipped into the chopped notch wasn't wasted!!). Wonder how it got a cert. with no reinforcing roll bar. Any one know who did the chop?

Funny how he should list it as original when notches
were not made as cabrios.

All of the reinforcement will be under the car, with the twin beams running front to back under the sills.

Yeah it's not original, but look like a nice job all the same. Would love to see one of these done with a Beetle or Ghia cabrio mechanism and wind down rear windows.

yeah squiz, spot on, gotta have the roll down rear windows, it would be the icing on the cake !

Although it's doubtful that this is a priceless original, a number of notches were indeed produced as prototype cabrios.

Here’s one from the museum,

...and one owned and driven by a collector.
