N O I C E - bump
that is FAT..luv to hear it with the throttle bodies sucking their little heart out.....what hp/kw rating ? 150 hp is stock cheers dsk steve
Stock, about 80kW at the wheels/110kW at the fly.
The car makes 105kW at the wheels on a stock head or 125kW at the wheels with a ported head on stock valves in the present spec, which is very mild.
Can quite easily spin 150kW at the wheels with some bottom end work and hotter cams

i know that a lehman 16v[abf]engine[vwmotorsport] produces 191kw[265hp]...although the rod lenght is much greater over a stk 16v..are you running stk crank/rod combo?is compression ratio stk?cheers steve
The VW-M. ABF block is also 236mm and uses the same length rods and wrist pins, but a billet crank with oversize bearings, though has 13:1 compression
and tapered DTH throttle bodies, mine are continuous DCOEs
This motor is sold with a stock bottom end, apart from ARP bolts and thus has 10.5:1 compression and 1984cc capacity (82.5x92.8).
I also use 278 deg cams, the motorsport ABF has 296s or 304s.
EDIT: Remeber, the ABF is the tall block 16v, you're probably thinking of the 9a, 6a, PL, KR, AAL, ADL 16vs which are all 220mm blocks and so have
shorter rods. The ABF also has longer valve stems and uses DIGI III injection rather than KE-Jet. or K-Jet, or Motronic.

how about a location of the car mate as it will help you sell it?
Car is in Hobart, but I'll deliver it personally nationwide. Cheers
not a problem mate i was just reading and didnt see that detail. hope you find the right buyer for it mate
Cheers for the help... yeah, I hope I find the right buyer too!! I've had far too many tyre kickers/joy riders and am getting pretty sick of it
the vwm block is milled 7mm off the deck height and the cyl head is angle cut to avoid valve interference..valves are also modified at the valve stems to improved gas flow ...am aware of the difference between abf and 9a..abf block is a 2.0 ady/ade,only the oil gallery mod for the under piston lubrication is reguired....love these engines but can be a little exy on the repair when they go bang.....60k for a lehman replacement vwm engine.....even vw used electric pwr str and alloy pulley's to reduce hp theft... think you baby is worth every cent..what you playing with next? cheers steve
I'm building an ABF turbo for my Mk1, but have most of the parts for this. I don't really drive the SEAT as much as I used to so might aswell sell it and get some money!!! I'm sort of addicted to modifying it aswell, which isn't good when I need to be modifying my house instead :P
go the ABF code, need a lsd for the mk1? have a new 02a style VWM u2u me if your interested..sorry about the house, they suffer in silence anyway cheers steve
Car has been sold and delivered to a Brisbane buyer.
