Hmmm, tasty.:thumb
those front indicators ruin a beautiful car
Yeah they're the stock repro indicators as sold on all the US replicas and McRaes. The accurate indicators are about $500 USD!!! a set.
it'd look kool with a nipple style indercater like the early splitties bbut hey i wouldnt knoock it back because of the indicators
bought tickets in the lottery today you never know
murray
Yikes current bid 49,000 NZ pesos.
if only............
reserve was $90,000 NZ dollars,
so about $0.85 Australian.....
ok kidding.... $80,900 AUD.
The engine shot gets me going.....:thumb

Come on Peter, please let me!
Matt
tell me this isnt a glass repro for 90k?
Repro or not the quality of the car, its engineering, its trim, its engine determine what the market will pay for it.
A lot of cars are glass that aren't repro. Nothing wrong with glass.

Still plastic and a fake...rather have the real deal any day...even if it's slower etc...how about an early 70's 930 Turbo cab for that price?
That's right Matt, this is just a fantastic hand built car in the style of a 550 Spyder. People do get carried away with the authenticity thing
sometimes. It cracks me up when you log onto the Spyder site in the US, some put shite on people for building these cars and not using authentic
looking parts etc.......I guess they forget it's not a replica as such, that would involve a hand beaten alloy body, 4 cam engine etc......but a hand
build car having the period look of a 550 Spyder:P
I must admit I don't agree with the heading of Porsche 550 Spyder but I bet it got a few extra hits to the auction.:Pnn[ Edited on 15-7-2005 byspeedster356 ]

God and I thought people had grown up lately.
:blah
If it's not your thing, don't look.....
It gives me a twinge
damn this is nice
looks better than the original to me, at least in terms of practical enjoyment, rather than sitting in a shed.
that would go like shit out of a shanghai. i reckon it would be quicker than just about anything else on the road
