hi all, its now time to sell my dearest 68 beetle... i cant afford to fix her, her rego is running out in a week, so im stuck with selling her and
keeping my mountain bike :P
id like to sell her to someone who can give her the resto i just dont have time to do...
so im selling EVERYTHING!!!
we have... 68 body with a very banged up carerra kit, its fixable with a bit of time or a fibreglasser if you like that look, but also comes with
early front and rear guards, rear bumper with over-riders that has been cut to be welded into place, front and rear 68 bumpers and headlights to suit.
one of the front guards has rusted through in the headlight bowl, just needs another bowl welded in.
the body has a few areas of rust in easy to fix places (the battery tray on the passengers side needs replacing) and there is also a little rust in
the rear passenger side body, just needs to be cut out and welded. the front hood has been bumped in at the handle by the A**holes that used to live
next door...a soft mallet will fix it up in about 15 minutes.
the kit (for those that want to know) has flared guards (both guards on drivers side are banged up... can be fixed with a little time or a
fibreglasser) bumpers (front bumper is banged up, back bumper is broken in half... once again, small fix-ups) fog lamps, carerra side skirts (a few
scratches) rear air scoop and rear wing.
as for the rest of the car... 1600tp motor (type 3 conversion) with 40dcn weber, 009 distributor, alternator conversion, lowered with koni (red)
shocks front and rear (1.5 years old, only been driven on for half that time...), drums on rear and discs on front, needs a new clutch, monza 4-tip
exhaust (always fun for waking up the neighbours!) boss sports steering wheel with boss kit, headliner is immaculate, interior matches the exterior (i
think the front seats are off a datsun, the rear is the usual beetle rear seat, seat covers in good condition... red, red, red!!!) has shelf for
speakers in rear and a hole cut out of the front dash for cd player (i have the old cd player and speakers to go with it, dont know if they work
though!!) the wheels are 6" wide stock chromies with a 4-bolt pattern, and bridgestone re92's in good condition.
ive also got a box of various bits that ive collected over time... 3 generators which may or may not work, fan shroud for early beetle, early single
port motor (i think it might be a 1200) i dont know if it works or not... may be useful for parts? has tappet covers, exhaust, dizzy etc etc etc...
if you want an easy resto, or something to chop up...(!!!) this is perfect!
im asking $2800 for the lot... i dont particularly want to part it out but some bits i can... u2u me

the motor is in good condition... probably needs a tune-up as i havent driven it for a while...
if i part with the motor seperately its going to be ALOT harder for me to sell the rest of the car... so for now, im not willing to part the motor
