hey dude, got some snaps ????

Keen to see, was looking at getting the guys at Indian to build me a D/C with a V8 but this sounds much cheaper ..

Mum lives in QLD so I guess'n yours has Blue Plates for the lift, V8, tyres etc if she comes with a RWC, yeah ?? If so I am keen to see pics, sounds like it will be worth my drive ...

A V8 at Indian?, knowing Kimm very well, he's much more likely to recommend V6, though it's always the customer's choice I guess.

His logic is that his supercharged V6 has been running hard for many years and doesn't crap itself at speed or idle and having driven it a few times, it's like saddling up a pet gorilla, it's ballistic and smooth ... your $$$, but I'm suprised V8 that's all. This is in a Bay right?nn[ Edited on17-8-2005 by crewcabconnection ]

vw2b - August 18th, 2005 at 04:04 PM

yeah but Kimm's V6 is in a dual cab with heaps of wacko cooling stuff and body work.

So has this one been cut up to make it fit ? (other than the engine bay)

Still need some pics I guess.

coxy007 - August 18th, 2005 at 08:46 PM

I had a v6 holden 3.8l dual cab before this one. This one that i'm selling with the all alloy toyota lexus 4L v8 Shits all over it and then some, and it is better on fuel than a standard vw 2L with ten times the power.

crewcabconnection - August 18th, 2005 at 09:02 PM

Lexus...ah....now that would be a nice motor....sorry, this threads turned into Duel Cab Converts not a for sale. I appologise. Good luck with the sale, sounds like a suburb cc ... I think there are some Lexus threads in here somewhere too.

Actually yes I did ....

So back to the D/C

That looks awesome .. do you have any pics of the engine ?

So it does come with all the approvals for lift kit, engine conversion and stuff that I would need to transfer the rego over ?

What gearbox is it running ?

coxy007 - August 20th, 2005 at 10:56 PM

Yeah it has the mod. plate and it is runnung a 2L gearbox. If you are keen give me a call 0419642473

Thanks chris for posting the photos. I don't know what the deal is with me not being able to post them. Cheers Tony

dubbill - August 21st, 2005 at 10:23 AM

why r u seling so soon i looked at it b4 you bought it from landsorough have you done anything to it since cause b4 you bought it i almost had it for 10 large with rego

coxy007 - August 21st, 2005 at 11:19 AM

There is no way you would have got this car from him for ten large. Your dreaming!

Put stereo system in it and and new computor Thats about it. As for the reason i'm thinking of selling it. We just found out my wife Has a another bun in the oven and she what something with aircon. I can hook up aircon. on the dualcab for about 1500.00 that still won't change her mind and a friend of mine is selling a 1994 hilux at a price just to good to pass up. But i am allowed to buy a 4 seater manx down the track.

dubbill - August 22nd, 2005 at 10:23 AM

i was the guy going to put the renult box in it i know he only paid 11800 10 was the deal (done him a few "favors" in the past) anyway i told him to go ems 8860 is this the computer u used???nn[ Edited on 22-8-2005 by dubbill ]

coxy007 - August 22nd, 2005 at 02:54 PM

Yeah thats the computer i used. I did a gearbox in it but there's a good reason for that when you do burn outs into third!!!!!!!!!

inthebuckethenry - August 22nd, 2005 at 03:01 PM

Is there any cancer in the ol girl?
Also, what rpms does she sit on at 110 (if you travel that slow!). Im assuming with a 2L box and those tyres shed be sitting pretty low (2800)!?
Cheers

kombi69 - August 23rd, 2005 at 01:42 AM

Does that rear seat you've got fitted fold up? Were these standard on later dual cabs or did you make it up?

coxy007 - August 23rd, 2005 at 09:06 PM

There is a little of bit of rust in the left hand foot step. She sits on about on about2600 rpm. The fastest i have had it was 195km When my mate was doing 190km in his vl holden and i was just a bit in front of him. And that was scarey. She handles super for a old car. At 120km It feels like you are not even touching the accerator the motor is just ticking over thats why it is so good on fuel. The seat in the back does fold up and that how it was when i bought it. So I have put my sub and amp under the back seat there is shit loads of room. It is going on ebay tommorrow. I will take $11500 as is now or 12600 with roady
