very very very!!
nice Bay all the best with the sale
Where in sydney are you bud?
it is in the penrith area
+bump+
i havent had any time to come and view this bus, but i am still keen to hear about it.
is there any rust in it?
is the engine a reco or how many klms on the clock?
thanks champ.
i take it that this is sold then.. dammit!!
no not sold, but going off the idea of selling it....
Its 230k's, so I think, but who knows. There is some rust over a wheel arch. Nothing major. Absolultely no structural rust, nor has it had the
boggers in. It's very original all round. No idea on the motor - It came with a 1600 that was RS, and I got the engine off Indian while I was
overseas, it was from a car that was hit, but they knew the car apparently. It's just been serviced, and is the best 2.0 I've had (3 before). I also
got the 2.0 box etc.,
I bought it on the phone while I was in the UK at the beginning of the year, never saw it, just picked it up, rego'd it and drove it. It just came
up, Kimm said he'd got a sweet 72 Microbus by email one day, and that was enough for me.
They collected it, did what was needed for Blue Slip and I've done about 2,000 ks in it since with no dramas.
It rides great, does not wander, stops scarely well and the motor is quiet and strong. Full 8 seats, belts in all, and 9th dikkie seat. Depends on
your view point I guess, I like Micros above windowed vans, but there are very few unrestored Deluxe 71/2s around.
It's a race between finishing my splitter and selling it. If the splitter wins, then I'll just restore it, as I honestly don't think I'd find a
better one - especially for low bucks...more to keep the missus happy, as I aquired a T3 Caravelle, so she figures I don't need a Micro as
well...bless her.
It will make a great bus when repainted...you're not gonna be removing rust or doing any mechanicals, it's got a lifetime's minor dings, but
nothing that's gonna freak you out.

for some reason i cant u2u, so i guess i'll let everyone know!!
i'd love to have a drive of your bus this weekend sometime, what is your phone number so i can call you to arrange a time to see it.
also what times are you available
Thanks!
mmm U2U says 'can't save empty file'....wierd huh...gimmie a ring on 9834 4694 ... Saturday is kids stuff, Sunday is better....
Deano
Ad looked good until the pics. Pity you didn't mention the front end damage in the ad.
Deano i'll give you a call tonight some time to arrange a time for tomorrow
Everyone else, i'll let you know how it goes, i'll report on the rust and the front end damage. it looks like they are the only problems with this
bay.

i checked this bus over on the weekend.
although i am not interested in it personally as it requires more work than i expected.
the pics do it more justice than i think you will see in the flesh.
the seals of the windows have been bodgilly replaced at one time with silicone, i think there is a little bit of rust creeping up in other areas than
mentioned (i am no expert)
i went after a dose of rain and there was a slight leak on the inside sliding door.
as deano says, it is a clean bus, in my opinion not worth the asking price, but then again maybe i am being stingy and want more for my pay packet.
best advice i can give is to go check it out, he is a great bloke anyway!
Good luck with the sale Deano
With the u2us you need to put a title in and then should work ok...
Also Mr Tooly from toolys imports is looking for a bay, give hime a call he may be interested...and new set of rubbers, a tidy up here and there and
you have a sweet early bay, I think the price is quite reasonable, what do you expect for a running tidy early bay...
thanks for rubbishing the bus. Good luck with your quest, hope it works out, sure there are plenty more rust free 72 micros with T4 motors out there
for much less than this....good luck. A pair of new seals, german - less than $100 bucks. Drop of water in the rain....welcome to VWs and 30 year old
seals...

This is exactly why I hate selling cars....You have some A...HOLE come around to your house ,then they proceed to pick the absoulte crap out of it in
an effort to get you to drop the price or whatever !!
To me the rules are simple.....The poor bastard states " Or near offer " If you are not willing to pay the asking price make an offer !? If that is
rejected move on , but do not rubbish the car or the intent to sell in the meantime.
Poor form in my opinion esp from a bunch of so called enthusiasts.
I hope you get the price Crewcab....It is a great bus don`t be put off by this whole event.
What a kombi with a slight leak from the slider!
take it to the scrap yard its all over:jesus
What a toss
hehehe ... yep and you can still get a rust free split for 2k too....
