Hi, guys very new to this, so bare with me! We have a 56 beetle awaiting restoration for sale in Maryborough QLD 4650. The body is extremely good nick, the motor is original & does run. Interior is also good condition with no tears or rips. Heaps of spares inc boot lid, bonnet, semaphore, some stuff is even new in boxes! We have her listed on ebay but are open to offers if someone out there is interested. We are actually wanting a kombi so if anyone is interested in a swap I would be very interested to chat with you.

We have the reserve set at $2000 the spares alone are worth $800. A 56 sold a few nights ago for just under $2000 & it needed a lot more doing to it than ours. We could deliver it to Rocky for you for around $200.

Yes know that, but we also have a 53! Just thought we would see what they are worth, by the sounds of it quite a lot

Saw an unrestored `52 Bug sell at auction a few years ago I think it went for around the $12000 mark. That little strip of steel in the back window bumps the value up a fair bit!!!
Just to clarify things, they are usually refered to as Split Beetles refering to the rear window as opposed to Kombi`s where "Split" refers to the front windscreen.
Can we see some pics of it? If it`s a genuine Split it is one of only a handfull in Australia.

53 is at my Dads. Would have to arrange some phots. I believe that is what it is 'split beetle'.
