FS. 1960 BEETLE *SOLD*
62deluxe - November 8th, 2005 at 12:58 AM

This bug would have to be one of the most original unmolested early bugs I've come across.
It is still on it's original cross ply tyres.
It has the original 36hp motor (runs- I drove it home!!)
There is absolutely no rust. I've looked everywhere and can't find any.
The body is super straight with the worst dent being on the front guard (see below) and only one other small one in back guard.
This would make a fantastic basis for restoration or just slam it and have a cool ratter. I was going to keep it for myself but I simply don't have the room.
NOW ONLY
$1100 or near offer.

Nice old girl.
What would it cost to get it to Sydney?

62deluxe - November 8th, 2005 at 11:24 PM

I could drive it to devonport then put it on the ferry for you to pick up at the other end......

62deluxe - November 8th, 2005 at 11:27 PM

The Spirit website quotes $59.00 one way to Sydney.

bugeyedbabe - November 8th, 2005 at 11:28 PM

that, as i understand, is for a car travelling with an on board passenger.

I asked about it when considering heading down to tassie in may...

62deluxe - November 9th, 2005 at 03:47 AM

Yeah I'm not sure how it works if your car is unaccompanied, but I know it's been done.......

ragtopp - November 9th, 2005 at 09:38 PM

is the car registered or does it have a roadworthy?

62deluxe - November 9th, 2005 at 11:18 PM

It's not registered at the moment but we will get it inspected down here to prove it's ready for rego.......
All you would have to do then is take the form into transport to get it registered.
