T2 or T3 Dual Cab or Single Cab wanted. Looking for a farm ute, not a concourse. Must be running and in fair nick. Little or preferably no rust. Vic rego preferred but not essential. Either 1800, 2 or 2.1 litre. Don't mind "wasserboxer". Need it for local country area bush weekender. I'm prepared to travel for the right one.
want a syncro?
Yep I could be interested, although syncro's tend to be a hell of a lot more to buy. Give me some details and pics and I'll let you know.
Thanks for the response.

There is a '91 T3 single cab in a car yard in Nowra, $5990, been there for a while, I'm sure he would take an offer!!
Thanks for the tip. Please excuse my ignorance, but how do I find this car yard in Nowra. I've searched both here and in Drive with no success.I'm
what you might call a true learner dubber.
Any help would be truly appreciated
Thanx.

I'm still looking out for a VW ute but have narrowed down my options. A T3 syncro dual cab would be ideal, preferable converted to dual fuel
operation. They don't call em "the brick" for nothing.
Aerodynamics certainly aint their strength. Only four gears on the hwy and they guzzle the juice. Thats why LPG is appealing. But I'll settle for a
juice junkie and convert it myself. So, any out there that you guys know of???? I'd even consider a non syncro if it presents excellent credentials.
After all, mates of mine said when I had a syncro van, "why a syncro, the ordinary 2 wheel kombi will get ya anywhere". Any condition will do bar
concourse. It's gotta do some work.

much more aerodynamic than a t3.
already on gas.

Yeah I know.......BUT...... its engine is in the front. I've only known Kombi's with the engine in the back, perfectly positioned over the rear
drive wheels giving it absolute sure-footedness, and I just love that dugger, dugger, dugger sound fist thing in the morning. Ahhh. Its like music to
soothe the soul. And also I've only got room in your T4 single cab for the dog. The other half aint gonna be amused. And theres no where to put my
expensive and personal business equipment in a single cab T4. Your tempting me but I just don't think your can convince me as yet. By the way what
are the economy figures for a T4 hwy cruising??? Thanks.
once you drive the t4 you'll wonder why you ever bothered with a t3. They're so much nicer to drive.
there's more room in the front of a t4 singlecab than there is in a t3 singlecab, and definately more than in a t2. With the seats forward, I can
just about fit my Mountainbike between the seats and the back of the cab.
the dog goes in the tray.
350km out of a tank of gas, towing a car trailer with a split kombi on it.
$23 to fill the gas tank.
probably get around 400km without the load on the back, and probably about 350km to a tank around town.
that's fairly economical in my book. About 15cents per km
