how good's the engine? Is it only in need of a cosmetic make over?

mate engine run fine b4 the switch box stuffed up.the switch box is part of the coil system,is about $300.the boat will sell as is,and is in good condition,needs polishing,and some paint on top,,cosmetic is about it,
