hi all... i have once again decided to sell cherry.
i cant foresee any time in the next 2 years when i will have time to work on her, so im hoping someone will give her that special resto!

ok.. now for the technical stuff...

1600 type 3 engine converted to fit beetle. 40DCN weber, 009 distributor, alternator conversion. i had her serviced 3 months before i stopped driving her, and everything was running fine. good compression on all cyclinders, (goes like the clappers on the highway!) needs the throw-out bearing seen to, or just a new clutch. electrics are fine. brakes got done with the service and they are all good too.

the body has rust in the usual places (battery tray and a little down near where the wheel arch attaches to the body) but nothing that cant be fixed easily.
the front bonnet has a small dint right under the hood latch where some f**khead next door backed into it and didnt leave a note. the front apron will need to be pulled out or gently beaten out from where the bumper pushed it in from a prang... once again, 2 things i could happily do if i had the time :(

the interior is in excellent to good condition... the headliner is very swish, you might want to get some new carpets or just fix up the old ones. has orginal seat in the back and front seats from a ??datsun?? both have matching red and black car seat covers and are in good condition. theres a shelf in the back for speakers. the moron that owned the car before me cut the dash for a stereo head... came in handy for a when i had a stereo!!

the steering wheel is a BOSS leather racing wheel, and it has a nice short red shifter. i had koni specials fitted in 2004, and these havent been driven on much at all. the car is lowered about 2 inches. its got 4 stud 15" wide steel wheels with re92's in v-good condition.

apart from all that... its got a carerra kit, which i was going to get rid of, so you will probably do so as well... ive also got spare early wheel arches, headlights and bumpers (both early and late) which i was going to fit when i started the resto. ive got lots and lots of parts and pieces as well, and they all need to go.

cherry is not registered, but wont take much to get her registered... i just dont have the time (full time uni and 4 nights a week at work... i'll be a wreck in 2 years and probably in need of a resto myself!!)

im looking for $2250 for the whole lot. will think about selling certain parts seperately.
please email me if you would like more info or are interested.

cheers :D
