It would be a nice drive for it down to VIC :thumb

Economy is great on the highways!

Its hard to believe these cost about $20,000 in 1981 and now I can't get $1500 for it!

I've gone out to have a look at this car and can vouch for how good it is. I was very seriously considering buying it but after much thought and discussion with the family we felt that a wagon of the domestic variety was the best thing for us right now.

The Audi would have lived out on the street, been used as a daily runabout hack, never get washed and just generally neglected. We'd rather mistreat a commodore this way!

This Audi won 'Best Unrestored' at a VW show in 2002 - in our hands it would probably win an award for best rat!

Anyway, having sold cars for a classic car dealer for the past few years I have to say you would be hard pressed to find a better example of a 5+5, or anything else from 1981 for that matter.

The car drives really well, the aircon is nice and cold, I couldn't find any rust or oil leaks, the electrics have been sorted and the boot looks like its never been used.

If you are looking for a good reliable practical classic that you can take anywhere and be proud to show off you really should make the effort to have a look at it.

At $1500 its a nick!

Good luck with the sale Paul - I hope the car goes to a good home soon!

Julian
