Item Description including Brand – 1975 Kombi
Condition – Should be some pictures... was done up a year ago, with the engine re-built and the reupholstered... been sitting in a carport ever since... I am now moving to Victoria (for some silly reason) and need it sold asap!!! $$$ spent at the time, will now need a bit of love to get it back on the raod, car is still registered - but rego due now.

what size is the motor? who recond it ? when does the lic expire? what do you mean by needs some love to get it back on the road (what work does it need ) cheers

I rebuilt the engine and then had a mechanic do the final tuning up...

Paint job is from when I first got it. It's been sitting in a carport since and so has the expected dirt and dust over the car.

Rego is due in early April...

You were only getting an answering machine as there is not much reception on the nullabor!!! :blush:

Purpose of an answering machine is to leave a message :P

Well ... it had to be sold, believe it or not I got ripped and sold it for $800!

And that is what it was worth.
The motor had not run for over 12 months- the guy who finally put it together - a very respected VW specialist said he bench tested it and recommended new carbs etc.

The wiring is cactus with auto choke wiring and cut offs wired live all the time.
The steering links are falling off-one even has spring wound round to keep it on.
The front steps are rusted out-the seats-non VW are held in by one bar and bolts that would not be safe in a kiddy car.
There is no heat exchangers- there is rust below the windscreen and even body damage was covered with a plastic logo which was not part of promo graphics.

The paint will have to be redone as most of it is poster paint and or painted over original without even a rub back.
Even normal garden hose pressure flakes it off.
So at $800 it was a reasonable buy

OK...steady on... its understandable that one would be fairly dissappointed if they were sold a polished turd... but B+S isnt for shitflinging... if one must engage in fisticuffs use u2u's. :tu:

That doesnt mean I condone dodgy practices... but leave the snipes out of here. :beer:
