Good split? I think you're kidding yourself. We have half a million that are in better nic than that one (no offence to Marvin). No one in Australia would bother with that amount of rust. If a pommy can return it to the road then let him.

BTW, good on ya Marvin for being so honest about how much rust there is in it.

Hey marvin, I know of a guy in mathoura with a number of splits.. thought that might be you? I'm a friend of Allan Bruton--he told me about this fella..

All the best with your auction. I lived in Deni till 3 days ago. I always hoped to find a splitty 'round the picnic point area--with all those hippy folk in there. :P

Ive seen worse, infact ive seen many aussies restore worse...as pommy git in adelaide would always say "same rust repairs in a 2k split as a 6k split" Not beyond saving for sure

The bidder is gav from southwestsplitz and he is coming back for more.
It seems ok to me,I think it will go os as he will pay higher price than an aussies but it will be looked afer nicely if it is to go to the uk.

I don't mind sending cars like this to the UK. It's when I read about UK buyers getting pristine NOS Australian panels and parts that it gets my hackles up. All those good Australian parts going over to rust on pommie roads. :td:
