hi,
sorry not trying to be a smart arse but the blue bug is a 68-70 model
the 2 vent decklid says its a 70 but that is a 68/69 colour but its been repsrayed so it may have had a colour change
check the 3rd number of the vin if its a 68 or a 69 it will be 8 or 9 if its a 70 it will b 0
Joel
And the Super is technically an L.
-Staggers.
all strut beetles in aus are called superbugs flat screen 1302s are 1600 superbug S and curvedscreen 1303s are 1600 superbug L
lol useless trivia
Joel
Well I guess I still have heaps to learn about bugs, I was going on info that i was given....
If it has had a respray it was a complete body off respray, as it seems like a factory job....
The blue bugs id plate
Its a 1970 model.
Can anyone tell me the difference between an "L" super and an "s" super
L came later.
easiest way to tell them apart is that the L has a curved windscreen and the S has a flat screen.....well almost flat.
s bugs have 3 bolt struts and l bugs have 2 bolt stuts.
Thanks Anthiron
compliance plate above lookslike its from South Africa..
hence the 5 stud front end
Is that common...?
