1964 Volkswagen Baja Bug Convertable..

'64 Body sits on a 4 inch body lift on modified '68 pan running reset Type 3 wagon IRS with reinforced trailing arms with larger T3 drum brakes and a fully serviced 4 speed 1600cc Kombi gearbox on solid mounts.. Shift linkage bushes have been replaced and a custom Beetle pan to Kombi box shift linkage is installed..
Recent full recond 1600cc twin port motor on solid mounts with big cam and big valves, 009 distributor and chrome dress up kit, fully recond generator, near new battery and sealed battery box, new regulator, Aluminium degree wheel, chromed pulley cover, Donaldson airfilter mounted on custom rear cage barwork, American Thunderbird twin cannon exhaust system with baffles and a polished stainless steel firewall..
Front suspenion reset to maximum height with disc brake conversion using American master cylinder, all new brake hoses and lines are fitted throughout the car.. Front tyres are 215/80x15 Yokohama on/off road with 90% tread, rims are 15x5, Rears are 70% tread 10Rx15 Dunlop Adventurers on custom made 15x8 rims.. Doors have had all window glass removed and steel box tube welded into window openings with clear vynal removable windows that secure to doors and roof.. Roof is about 2 years old, does Not leak and is trimmed with Oval rear window.. Vehicle features FULL CAMS approved competition roll cage, mostly padded with loops front and centre, drop downs to rear arches, intrusion bars through door openings and side rear passenger compartmanet with cross bracings under dash, under seats, behind seats and across rear of passenger compartment.. Front and rear crash bars pass through wheel arches to meet up with main loops of cage.. 4 Point harness seat belts are fitted to moulded race shell bucket seats which are padded with new covers, colour coded to match the car.. Rear guards are Super Beetle Baja fiberglass, (which are wider than standard baja rears), front guards, bonnet, nose cone and rear engine cover are all fiberglass.. A new windscreen was recently fitted, along with new seal and new rubber housed buggy headlights mounted on barwork to reduce guard flexing offroad.. Recent tail lights are sealed submersable units and new numberplate light was fitted at same time..
Vehicle is Street registered, runs well, drives Great, has taken Many Years to set up, will go Anywhere (and More) that a 4WD will go, turns heads Big Time, is a Great Fun car, Very Cheap to run and register and is being offered for sale at a Fraction of the cost to build...!!!! Cars like this have been built at a well know local VW builder/repairer at costs of around $70,000.00

But the only work you'll have to do there is put fuel in the tank, check the oil occasionally and have Lots of FUN....!!!!
