66deluxe - May 21st, 2006 at 03:14 PM

This car belongs to my friend Steve and it's for sale, I am just posting this add on his behalf. It is a 1970 notchback, it has a type1 2275cc built by Stan Pobjoy, Engine has a roller crank, has a high lift cam, deep sump, twin 40 IDF Weber's the engine has been left as upright cooling, custom exhaust and engine bay. Just won today Klub VW car show best modified type 3. If you have any inquires please phone Steve on 0439698440, car is located at Rocklea for two more weeks only, asking price is $6600 also advertised in trading post. Today i had trouble keeping up with him when we took off from the lights in my 04 GTI he was pullin away in second and i had to change to third to keep on him, it's a quick car. Cheers Damo.

Just for interests sake, and without taking this thread off topic - how does the cooling go with the upright? I've asked this on the Samba and got many different views. I can see that there is tinware in place, and no doubt Stan knows what he's doing. Good luck with the sale.
