Hi all,
Up for sale is my 1972, chop top 1600 super bug.
It's in pretty good condition for its age, with a couple of scratches and small dings. With minimal amount of work you could potentially have a
stunning looking and well running VW.
For roadworthy, it needs 2 back tyres, front brake pads, new windscreen, probably some new seat belts, a new roof and some small oil leaks plugged.
Yep, it needs a new roof. The old one is still on it, its about 10 years old and has started to perish.
It's yellow in colour (Golden wattle), its rego runs out on the 12th of July, has had the sound system removed (it used to have thousands of dollars
of gear in it), but still drives well.
It has an Empi quickshifter (trigger type), wide 5.5" tyres (fronts are new), new front suspension and rubbers replaced about a year ago, recent
battery replacement, brushes in generator replaced and other stuff random stuff.
For more info, please give me a call on 0403 009 455. I dont have great access to the internet.
It's located in Hawthorn, Victoria and I'm looking for $2000 for it, but is a bit negotiable.
Cheers

wow where have u been??
I know, I haven't posted in this forum in yonks!
I went overseas for a couple of years and got back early last year. When I got back, I bought a new car, so since late 2003, the bug has been in
storage. Does get driven now and again, but is mostly a museum peice ATM.
I really don't want to get rid of it, but with a new car, a new motorcyle and the beetle, I'm up for nearly $2k in rego alone per year!
Someone should buy it. The sheer chick pulling power is insane!
Is that the one that was on the cover of the Fast Fours "VW specials" mag? Back in '91 or so?
id say no i think not.
