Judsons4eva - June 28th, 2006 at 08:14 PM

I am finalising the importation of a container of Spyder kits from the manufacturer in Brasil. Space for one more car!!

See the attached link.

RHD drive kits available, painted, leather seats, instruments, hood, wiring and hydraulics. You will need to add front hubs and brakes, transmission and engine.

This is the "Beck" Spyder which is now marketed under the manufacturer's name "Chamonix" name.

Swing axle for air cooled engine and IRS (de Dion) for water cooled VW engines available.

Can be built and registered under ICV regulations. Each State Licensing authority interprets these differently. I can provide assistance in licensing.

Price landed in Sydney $28,000.

Estimated value when complete $60,000 based on several cars on the market at the moment.

Why aircooled for swing axle only, why not IRS?

Judsons4eva - July 3rd, 2006 at 11:44 PM

The kit is as close as possible to the original 1955 car - hence swing axle. It can be converted to IRS but ex factory it is either swing axle or dedion. The dedion rear end car is set up with radiator etc for water cooled engines.

If it was a 356 Coupe replica I'd be keen.....

Judsons4eva - July 4th, 2006 at 06:43 PM

Yes can 356 speedster or Super 90 convertible - approx same price - go to http://www.chamonixcars.com.br  or http://www.beckspeedsters.com  for details of cars.
Not yet prepared one for rego in Aus. Need to worry about installing side intrusion bars in the doors and also finding an engine that will meet the ICV emission laws.
