surely it would need the compliance plates to be RWC'd legally yeah?
Still, nice buggy
no compliance no deal
Sorry I got your answer so deleted my post.
I thought that the whole thread would go.
Anyway since it is still here, I contacted Vicroads and they didn't have a problem with it.
I thought this was strange too, thats why I have now called them 3 times to check with different people and each time asking more in depth
questions.
"Compliance plates go missing" was what the Vicroads guy said.
They have it registered as a VW 67 sedan "beach"
I explained that it was a fibreglass bodied beach buggy and he said that it was fine.
If they are OK with it, will insurancers touch it?
Details again,

LWB and RWC.
So no engineering required.
Trying to get the pictures back up
By the sounds of it you are OK, as long as the numbers all match. The fact that you have 'Beach' on the papers helps.
So now what do you rekon it's worth?
7500
No worries,
I'll offer half that and see where it gets me....
worth very little with no rego
be carefull
OK,
So now it has a new Roadworthy Certificate.
I've confirmed that it is currently registered.
So, no blockers....
What are the insurance companies like with these?
why not ring GIO and see?
lol
beat me to it.
depends on age, sex, where, who, driving record etc etc etc etc shannons would be my best bet.

Shannons were no problem.
Thanks for the input.
Do you really think it's worth $7500?
A good manx with rego can be $15k +++
Dont think i have seen one round $7.5k
True - this is not a Manx, so it doesnt have the price tag.
Like all old cars, what is it worth to you??
i reacon 4-5K
