[WTB - NSW] WANTED 75' or Later Beetle!!!!
ckalexander - September 20th, 2006 at 11:37 AM

WANTED 75" or later Beetle (I want one with Rack and Pinion Steering) for a Project. I want one with a good pan with little or no rust. I don't care about the condition of the body. It can be rusty or damaged. I don't care about the condition of the mechanicals but I would like the mechanicals complete.
If someone out there has one or knows where I can find one in and around Sydney please let me know.
Thanks for your help all!

Hi Mate

Welcome to forum

You are chasing a very rare specie there and if you want Rack and pinoin they only came on 75s but be careful there are 75s with out r&p

My favourite Model here is pic of my daughters(indicators in bumper like a 76)

Chris

Check this out
I think it might be the model your after because it has curved windscreen.
They say its a 76(76 have straight w/screen and ball joint front end) but thats when registered

Save that link and ring them up after.
they blew it by putting it in as a Volkswagon Beetle.

My people troll by VW and Volkswagen

For $1500 for a R&P Superbeetle that is a BARGAIN!! especially for a one family owner

Thanks guys for finding those cars for me! I will keep a close eye on ebay now too.
I would prefer to find one in and around Sydney. Especially if they are unregistered like those two on ebay.
Cheers again.
Christian.

No worries Chris

I did not expect you to buy but know what to look for and how people get the models mixed up

Good Luck:beer

Joel - September 21st, 2006 at 08:48 PM

yea u see them all the time getting mixed up
what doesnt help is volkswagen australia called the 76 flatscreen beetle a 76L "runout model" so ppl get confused
some ppl tho just call anything a superbug as they think it sounds good, ive seen a 58 bug called a superbug:duh
