1970 Beetle Project 80-90% complete, show car in the making
PD_RS-RA - November 9th, 2006 at 03:06 PM

Seller's Name –Peter
Suburb / Post Code – Phillip, ACT, 2606 - happy to ship elsewhere
Item Cost - $5 000 ono

Time has come to sell my baby and move on. Having just bought a townhouse and started a new business, I don't have the time or space that this bug deserves.

I purchased this bug as a bog standard car around 18 months ago. Since then, it's been stripped back to bare metal for a full inside and out respray, and a complete, professional custom interior. It's now back on the road and running, but it does still need work. It's probably 80-90% done.

Full orange/white theme has been carried through the whole car, right down to the colour of the speakers. LCD screen installed in the dash, ready for you to you up a playstation or DVD player. Heres your chance to own something different and original

Specs:
1970 VW Beetle - Unknown km's
1500 type 1 engine with 50amp Bosch alternator, brand new clutch, brand new huge capacity battery
Bare metal respray in two tone orange / bright white
Complete custom interior in orange / white vinyl, grey carpet and white headliner
Sunrasier 14" wheels, reprayed in white
Power windows
Pager alarm system
Lowered
7" LCD screen fixed into dash

Optional (Installed, but I'm happy to remove them):
JVC MP3 CD Headunit
Blaupunkt 4 channel amplifier
Cadence 6" speakers up front
Cadence 12" sub woofer in rear
All associated wiring etc

This is still a work in progress, so it's suited to someone looking for a project, or a car that they can customise to suit them. Work needing done is only simple, such as fitting side running board, pinstriping or chrome work, and some work to the wheels, just little bits here and there. I'm happy to discuss the remaining work futher with serious buyers.

Keen to sell, and open to offers. 10K+ already spent on the rebuild, but I know I won't get anywhere near that back. Was thinking around 5K for a quick sale? Send your offers through anyways, you never know, you might grab a bargain!
