We've had some real nice days that seem ideal for convertible cruising and wanting to stay true to the VW blood that runs through my veins i'm looking around for a chop-top bug.

Not wanting a Karman, just a convertibalised beetle. Anyone know of any? I know many of the ones around are home jobs of questionable quality but i'm really feeling a desire to have the wind in my hair. Prefer registered but not too fussed about reliability or quality.

Anyone have any advice about what kind of price they might sell for?
