[FS - WA] Herbie for sale (SOLD)
shaihulud - January 20th, 2007 at 11:48 AM

My 74 1300 swing axle ball joint drum braked Herbie is for sale.

The pan and body are virtually rust free, the paint is ordinary, the interior it torn and tatty, the engine is fair, the gearbox grumbles, the brakes are OK, steering is good, suspension is OK, tyres are good, the radio is an original AM only, the headlights are sealed beams, new fuel hoses, new oil seals at the oil cooler, new oil seal on the crankshaft and gearbox.

For sale as is for $800 ono, with 6 months registration.

I also have a 1600 TP engine with the tin off, for an extra $100. The clutch and distributor of the 1600 engine are in the car.

Sorry no picture. I've lost the instructions.

Come on laze 'n' gems.

This is a really cool, reliable little daily driver DakDak. It's ideal for a student or someone who wants to make a really nice little car of it.

It's a Herbie. There is no cooler car in the world. Ask any young kid. This car stops school yards. People lean out of overtaking cars to photograph it. They ask if their kids can sit in it and have their pictures taken. It attracts more attention than any other car on the road. Take your kids to school in this car and you will out cool the most expensive cars in the parking area.

It's a bargain and I need to be shot of it.

I'll consider swapping it for a Bay Window Kombi (not a camper van) of equivalent value and condition.

Double Ooops!!! I hate it when I have a series of senoir moments.

I'm sorry gentle folk but the phone number in this thread is incorrect. It should have been 9342 8703. It's just been pointed out to me by the person who bought the car.

So, It's been sold.

I'll make sure that I edit things before I post them. I'm sure I've said that before.
