Didn't think I'd be doing this yet but I need to move my 64 on. I don't have any current pics yet but I'll get some taken over the next couple of
days.
Basically its a relatively solid 64 that hasn't had a major hit. Most of the rust issues are in the bolt ons like the decklid & bonnet, there's a
little bit behind the front wheels but not too much. Paint is Ruby Red, it was re-done about 20 years ago so fades a fair bit but polishes up pretty
well. I was planning on repainting it if I kept it.
Since I've had it:
Put an adjustable 2 inch narrowed front beam, goes really low. Tie rods narrowed to suit.
Lowered the rear end so there's a bit of camber but more importantly still has a nose down stance.
Had the front brake cylinders & all 4 flexible hoses replaced.
Put in a new fuel line as the old one had leaked in the tunnel.
Changed the motor for another 40Hp and changed the gearbox mounts while it was all out. Its still 6V, there's a bit of a charging issue, don't seem
to be getting enough voltage out of it mainly when the lights are on.
Put in some rear pop out windows. I love these and would like to keep them for the next car but will keep them on this car if you want them and the
price is right.
Put in seatbelts, there's 3 across the back and a baby seat mount on the firewall.
Looking for around $2,900 or less without the popouts. Its not rego'ed at the moment as I haven't needed to drive it for a while.
I'm about 10 mins from the Adelaide CBD, the number is 0410 420 577.
Cheers,
Greg

Please post some pics. Am interested if it is a genuine Ruby Red colour. Cheers Tonz
Sale pending at the moment.....
It is genuine Ruby Red, the dash & underbonnet are still original paint. Theres remnants of a sticker under the bonnet saying Ruby Red also. I'm
having trouble with pics via photobucket at the moment as the kids have used up the download limit so I'm on snails pace internet, will give it a go
at work tomorrow.
Sold, thanks Matt. By the sounds of the plans he has for it, it should be a nice car.
Better change my signature...
