not leaving the speedway scene entirely..... just would like to concentrate more on my sports sedan as I am planning on circuit racing this year and my son (Dean) wants to drive it at hillclimbs . He actually has his first hillclimb race this Sunday 4th Feb. at Huntley Hillclimb , Dapto . The sports sedan is not ready so he will drive his own black 61' ragtop beetle . Lucky kid at the age of just 14yrs .
Also we are still building a new speedway beetle for my 1st year apprentice (Ben) and I will be there to help him .

I assume that you were talking about Horace .
Horace runs in a class called 1600 super sedans . Class rules allow us to run engines up to 1650cc absolute .
At present there isn't another car in the division that can catch Horace under acceleration . There is also a fair bit of bitchin' going on ( nothing that I am not already used to from certain members on AVD forum ) and rumours have indirectly got back to me that other drivers ( and their engine builders ) claim that Horace is running an oversize engine .
I love these false accusations as it shows just who is at the top !!
Other 'so called' engine builders need to get their act together and build real performance engines that perform and last , not just inferior bolt-ons off the shelf .

I will be racing Horace at Nowra Speedway next saturday night 17th Feb . if anyone interested wants to see him in action .
