type_one - February 20th, 2007 at 07:34 AM

Not to whinge but you have owned this for less than a few weeks and it is for sale for considerably more than you won it for on ebay. Has anything been done to it since winning?

Was spewing because i was bidding on it when my computer crashed and couldn't get it back up in time. Oh well

ITEM NO 320078501460

Is it the same car? Sorry if not.

type_one... jsut offer him the ebay bid. hopefully he is not in the scene jsut for the money and as' it needs to go to make room for others', he may considerl.

probably suggest, go look at it though!..."She needs a blue slip and a bit of TLC. There is no visible rust from the outside but im not going to lie to you, there is rust present.."

[ Edited on 19/2/2007 by twoguns ]

**for tims benefit. only edit was to add the 'go look bit'. goo dluck with your sale!

Give frenzix a break! For $1500 its hardly overpriced! Good on him for getting a bargain on e-bay. Also whats wrong with making a few $ - it doesn't happen often and helps to pay for the next project!!

type_one - February 20th, 2007 at 04:23 PM

Not trying to start trouble. I was seriously wondering if some work had taken place on it that I was not aware of since the purchase. Just for my own knowledge to see if i would offer the asking price.

And I have asked if it is the same car as I couldn't 100% say that as the rego has been blanked out.

Tim can sell it for whatever he likes. I am a strong believer in if some one asks a million dollars doesn't necessarily mean they are going to get it. But shouldn't get hell over it.The market will obvioulsy prevail.

Hey Wes did you use to own this car.

Doug Sweetman - February 20th, 2007 at 05:08 PM

$1500 looks a fair price for the car Tim, well done at gettting a bargain off Ebay.

Thats the deal with auctions, they dont always go for market value.

PS I hate you as you have too many toys and I'm jealous :P

frenzix - February 20th, 2007 at 05:09 PM

Hey Doug, thanks for the positive reply. I don't have many toys left. But usually as i sell a couple two more rock up.. It's a sickness. I'm just trying to break kombidogs or on dsk (dmb) record of vw onwership.

:)

I have nothing to hide, I bought the car cheap.. don't need it as something else has come up and would like to get what i can for it.. i have a family to feed and a mortgage to pay. And no i'm not in it for the money I pay for all of the DSK running costs out of my own pocket and spend countless hours running it.. so many people benefit from that... but it can help. For example... .

In the last year or so...

I bought a 76 golf for near $1000 .. sold it two months later for $350.. Nothing had changed on the car.. just didn't want it and would rather someone else benefit from it , and i did not care in the slightest that i lost out on it.. it all comes back.

I just sold a 61 Single Cab to a fellow DSKer in brisbane for $1000 .. and it is restorable
I just sold my 74 panel for $600 to a fellow DSKer .. it owes me $1000.. but is worth way more
I just sold my 55 Split to a very respected split freak.. for $3000 .. in very a restorable state.

I sold my 58 beetle for a fucking steel! a year or so ago.
I sold my 63 Wagon for a really good price.
I sold my two early notches for next to nothing.
I also gave a late square to my brother in law
I have donated a running motor to a friend of mines split

So if i make a little bit of profit from this wagon, should i donate it to some blind vw kids orphanage or should I keep it in my pocket and still not break even??

I'm not pissed at anyone posting here.. just wanted to clarify that i'm not some sleazy merchant like some may think. Ask ANYONE that knows me personally.

So in light of all that.. If you are seriously interested in buying it or if you want to have a go at me for who knows what , call me 0408 616 993

Gee Tim maybe we should call you St Adolf, the living saint of all that is volkswagen:)

can the negative posts above please be deleted.. they are fucked.

frenzix - February 21st, 2007 at 02:19 AM

oh wait !! sorry they have all been edited, gee i wish i saw them before they were edited..

Liam_81 - February 21st, 2007 at 12:37 PM

Looks like a bargain! If I didn't get one not long ago I would snap this one up.

type_one - February 21st, 2007 at 01:48 PM

The only thing i edited was the spelling. The content is exactly as i typed it. So you are seeing them as everyone else. If you have no problem with what's there now you shouldn't have when it had the bad spelling. I stand by my questions.

Thats being in the simplest terms
1. Was it the same car as on ebay?Answer yes
2. Had anything been done to it since buying it? A genuine question thinking maybe it had some mechanical work or something, Thus making it more attracive to buy.

I have nothing against you at all Tim or what you are asking. My questions were genunie as this car is a still down the road from me and I was seriously thinking of buying it. I think had everyone not jumped on the band wagon and actually read what i was asking it wouldn't have gone so far. But given I can't type 'tone' into a response i can see how some people would see it as they choose to see it.

Sorry for any confusion and good luck with the sale. From now on I will use the phone so no body else can hear what i say. Then again.

frenzix - February 21st, 2007 at 04:37 PM

Yeah i know what your asking..nope nothings been touched on it.. yet. i wasn't offended . I just thought i would clarify it to the u2uer that half abused me for doing it.

Calcool - February 25th, 2007 at 01:55 AM

Well done with the sale Tim,

I hope you got what you wanted, as i still feel guilty for stealing the 58 from you.

She is running beautifully as you promised and has reinvigorated my passion for all things early VW as I just bought a 69 Micro to go with the 54 Oval I bought a couple of months ago.

Are you finished with your shed construction as I would love to keep a car or 2 in storage. For a steal that is!

Cheers,

David

frenzix - February 25th, 2007 at 08:18 AM

haha. Don't feel guilty as im happy it went to you David.. I was just trying to explain to people that i'm not a money making dirtbag. I'm glad everything with the bug is going great.. I just found some footage of the old girl cruising around. i stuck up a youtube of it..

The shed is finished.. no room here sonny, my duelcab is going to be parked firmly inside the garage for a couple of years. I heard you got a 54.. hope its what you wanted.

Good luck.. Tim
