Very nice car mate. When was it painted?

vwpurplebuggy - March 21st, 2007 at 12:04 PM

:thumb it had the outside blue painted 18 months ago (car park marks . stone chips) and it has been siting in a shed since then it had a full body of pan resto about 8 years ago

Lovely car mate, I have massive paint problems with my own modded (not by me) Ghia.

I'm up in Darwin, in the NT.

Here are a couple pics of my '61

As you can see, flared guards, Porsche wing mirrors, interesting exhaust and wipers.

squizy - March 26th, 2007 at 12:38 PM

Nice looking KG. Good buy for someone.

Goose - that exhaust on your KG isa dual quietpack setup. Very popular in the late 80's - early 90's. A real Cal exhaust. Nice note, but mine used to scrape like buggery.

Thnx Squizy.
Bought the car off of a guy up here, not sure if he did a lot of the mods or if it was the people before hand.
Apparently (according to Reub) it was once used to smuggle certain illegal substances up to Darwin from the south.

Type3Sicko - March 26th, 2007 at 04:11 PM

awesome goose!Love the guards, did you check the heater channels? :) I've seen the turquoise KG in the flesh, nice body work, never got a ride in it though, good luck with your sale Craig

Ha Ha can't say I spent much time checking it out. Reub reckons I could probably smoke the seats.

Squizy- forgot to say, the exhaust does scrape like you wouldn't believe. But the car sounds great. Hear it a mile away apparently, wouldn't know though, I'm the only one who ever drives it, never hear it from outside the car.
