A good example of a early beetle. 1961VW. 1500cc SP. Monarch blue paint is less than 2 years old. Rebuilt engine 12mths ago. Gearbox was replaced due to noise. Was used as daily driver but was not big enough for family. Very reliable car. New upholstered seats. Rear venetian blind. Speaker shelf behind the back seat. New carpet. Empi rosewood door handles. Drivers door needs some attention on the top corner as seen in picture.

The owners had a few VW's. They are so enthusiastic they also have VW tatts. he has the symbol on his neck, she has Mrs VW on her back. So you can imagine, gossip queen sitting and chatting for ages about anything & everything ... and me just standing n watching...lol

Apparently it started with the Guy buying a 62 to run about in...and as we all know you just can't stop at one. They have the site address, so hopefully will be here visiting us at AVD soon.
