Greetings all!
The time has come for me to sell my pride and joy. I have spent two years restoring the car, but twins coming means my toy has to go in favour of a
larger family sedan that will fit three baby seats.
Some details:
1994 DRB Sabre MK2. 2 door, 2 seater. Loosely based (NOT a replica) on the 60's LeMans Ferraris. Factory built fibreglass body with integrated
full steel spaceframe. 1971 VW Type 3 chassis, 4-speed manual transaxle, suspension, steering and brakes (brakes reconditionad 18 months ago). Mild
Subaru EA81 1.8 litre carb. Rear coil-over suspension. 15x7 Performance rims, 195/60/15 directionals. Engineered kerb weight 1300 kg. Travelled
less than 40K since built.
The front-side indicators seen in this shot have been replaced with reversed clear VY Commodore units.
Vintage Stewart Warner speedo and tach. Reconditioned power window regulators and drives. New 4 speaker MP3/CD player. New interior carpet, trimming
and fascias.
Rego, RSC and original approval papers for registration as a Modified Production Vehicle.
Believe me when I say that nothing under $100K turns heads like this machine. This car is totally road legal, cheap to rego and maintain, handles and
stops brilliantly, is p-plater friendly and will give you supercar looks at less than the price of a new Corolla. There is NO MONEY to spend, just
drive it away. Or go nuts and build a real showstopper, either way you will be stunned at the interest this car generates wherever you go.
Would make an excellent promotional or wedding hire car.
Will consider offers around 19K (AVD price, starting at 20K on other forums!) for quick sale, well below Shannons insured value. Maybe less for very
quick. May consider part trade for unmolested medium/large sedan (Toyota Camry or Avalon preferred), up to around $10K in value + cash. Car will be
available late February, early March.
All offers will be considered.
Feel free to e-mail me for more (hi-res) pics and info.
Thanks,
Mick.

Mate, imagine how sorry I am
I've decided on the 'new' car, so will just have to wait until this sells.
It will be at Dubs by the Pub on Sunday, although I'm still waiting on some of the minor interior trim pieces to be finished.
Cheers,
Mick.

BUMP for the beast!
Will be going up on ebay as soon as the trims are back.
Don't be afraid to make an offer if you're keen, the price is negotiable and the car will be sold!
Thanks,
Mick.
Offers anyone?
bump'd!
To those that have expressed interest, all the trims are FINALLY finished and installed, the car just needs to be detailed and then I will be able to
post and send some interior and new, squeeky-clean exterior pics. It will be viewable in person from next Saturday (Curse you, shiftwork!).
Oh, and BUMP!
Thanks,
Mick.
