And I go and buy a 55 Desoto 6 weeks ago.....damn, if only I knew, i'd have this.
Might take a while to sell the Desoto....reckon I'll miss out!

Hi Brad .... if it's not too much to ask - can you tell me the month of build on this beautiful bug ... i have been told that some cars regarded as 56 where in fact made or built in 55 ... i am not sure why ... is this one of them?

Was built November 56. So definately a 56.

A build date of November 56 makes it a 57 year model. Year models started in the August of the preceeding year after July 1955. So the 55 year model was only made from Jan to July 1955.
The 56 year model was made from Aug 1955 to July 1956 etc etc.
The confusion arises as when referring to a 'year', some people refer to build year and other people refer to model year.
