GOLDEN GROVE / SOUTH AUSTRALIA 5125
MOBILE : 0420682979
NAME: FINN
EMAIL: finnbarr@adam.com.au
PRICE: $4500.00

THE CAR:
It is a super solid / super straight, never crashed 64 beetle.
No structual rust A & B pillars SOLID

IN JAN 2007 IT HAD:

New 1680 cc / dual Kadron motor by Debiasi Autos here in SA
Gearbox
all new break system from front to back.
An all new 2 inch narrowed & adjustable front beam
New Nangkang tyres, which i had white walled.

New 12 volt starter motor
Full 12 volt conversion

IT has just had an $700.00 service about 3 weeks ago.
The car runs great / looks good and gets a lot of smiles & turns alot of heads.

I must say again how straight & honest this car is.
the motor is very strong and really gets the car along well.
The pan is great, no holes, no welds, just as it came from the factory.

if you want a car that you can drive now, and enjoy & at a later date do a easy cosmetic resto on, then this is the car for you.

AGAIN, IF I HAD NOT JUST BOUGHT THIS TYPE 34 GHIA, I WOULD NOT BE SELLING THIS CAR.

yes, it is Ruby Red in colour. Some better photos of it in the SA DOVW thread, i hand polishied it before the show now its all shiny, but if you like the flat rat look then just leave it 6 months.

Sure, ill consider selling it with out the motor. $3500 but when you consider what its going to cost to then get it over to you craig, you would be better of just buying the whole thing, easy to move cheapier to ship ect , ect.
but thats up to you.

I am of the mind set that, If the car sells, the wife is happy, if the car dosent sell, then i am happy.

but i do need to move it for the sake of a happy home life.

its going on ebay in a couple of days.

Oh and thanks for the nice comments about the car, for those of you who saw it at the DOVW

Tonz Magonz - April 7th, 2008 at 01:16 PM

Also, for interstate buyers ... i am happy to get the car to a transport depot at your cost, if you are looking to truck it home.

OR you could fly over & drive it home... it will make any road trip.

DUB64 - April 7th, 2008 at 06:07 PM

If it was closer to $3000 I would be very interested. Cash is low at the moment.

59Mango - April 16th, 2008 at 05:57 PM

Also interested in the motor if you sell the car without.
Got the money sitting here waiting (also a `65 Bug sitting waiting for an engine!!)
So you are happy with the Debiasi motor, I believe they do a good job.
Graham.

57 Cal look - April 17th, 2008 at 10:32 PM

yeah kafer i bet you would , pitty you cant see that the money i am asking is a steal for this car, but oh well.

Mango, i ll not be parting out the car, sorry.

Kroozzn, been great, South Australia has been a blast, lost of really good VW people here & very friendly, not to mention you can get a good glass of red where ever you turn.

If you are thinking about buying a beetle and doing it up and that you can do it for $4500, you are WRONG. A word of advice, buy something like this one and save yourself an easy 3-4 thousand dollars. See the photo of my car below and this is all I have so far and it already owes me over $5000, also not shown is the sandblasted body which needs rust repairs, new rear guards, bumpers, front seats and a few other little things.

If I could do it over again I would buy this, spray it and put mags wheels on (my preference). I dont know Cal at all, but my advice to you is to buy it and you will be in front.

Cal, younger or inexperienced (I dont have much) people dont realise the cost of doing up cars and thats not their fault. Maybe they will have to learn the hard way. Good luck with the sale.

Kevin
