I know of 2 for sale in a car yard in Dandenong along Cheltenham Rd. 1 Yellow 1970's model and a red earlier model (I think).
I don't know of prices or condition as I have only driven past them.

They are Type 1 Ghias Adam. Ones a 70's model the other looks like a 68/69 ish They both look pretty good too.

There was a Type 3 Ghia for sale in Darwin avertised on here. Needed a bit of work but good starting point.

I didn't know ghia production ceased in 1969.:dork:
The yellow one had those ugly chunky indicators/tail-lights so it was just an assumption.:D
It also still has CH - club plates on it but I am not game enough to quote the reg number!!;)

Type 1 Ghia production went well into the 70s.

Type 3 Ghia is different, it ceased production in 1969.

Have you checked the ads in the latest edition on VWMA? There was a red one advertised in Tassie for about $23K from memory. Just across the water from you.

There is also one up on CarPoint.

There's actually a few on carpoint. Price usually dictates condition and Ghias have a habit of hiding their rusty spots well, until the are well and truly rusty!

the one in Tassie is sold. a couple of months ago
