vehicle is stored 20min sth of Gympie (very dry country)

1971 delux microbus professionally Baja'd by baja guru John Alder (volks engineering)

its running bomb proof worked nissan L20 through a reco'd 1600 box with 31' front tyres 33' rear's
bus has chrome dash with mounted guages, chrome firewall interior is really nicely upholstered in grey , red carpet, recaro front seats are showing a little wear
this rare lowlight is very very straight one of the best ive seen
im selling because i no longer live in Aus and wont be back permanently for a few years this car is way too nice to let it sit AND im really sick of dealing with shops from 3000 miles away i had it at a panel shop for a respray (its 3/4 through) 6 months later they went bust so im not willing to go through it all again (the paint wasnt that bad to begin with i wanted it to reflect the rest of the bus but mainly piss the funky tail lights off:lol:)the bus is not currently registered

it would prob be worth more with a vw engine in it but i would say its pretty cheap for the price listed, good luck with the sale:cool:

fair call rexy, but theres a few ways of looking at it, say you wanted to go lexus v8 ($1200)or ej22(1500) all the cooling is already set up the heavy duty crossmember etc is already there.
if you wanted to go vw strip the lot sell and add that to your 2ltr mods
but the little datto that is in it is more than adequate for everyday driving and its pretty bullet proof

at this price it should not have a motor or gearbox

So what gearbox is in it?? 1600??Last time I saw this car it struggled to push the big wheels.

Would definately be worth more with Volksy engine in it but whats done is done. Has the car been cut up to fit the datto engine in? Easy to convert back to Vw engine??

Why would it be worth more if it had an old aircooed engine in it ? It is a Baja Bus, HP rules and getting HP from a water pumper is a lot easier and cheaper than an Aircooled engine.
