It's sad but the time has come for the wagon to go to another home.
Now the bus is back on the road it just doesn't get used..
I bought it from the ORIGINAL owner. It comes with every receipt and extensive history from new..
Since taking ownership about 5 years ago it's had plenty of love. Starting with a new 1600 T/P motor..
The suspension has been lowered all-round and it runs on Flat-4 Sprintstars and 145 and 165 Michelins.
The exhaust is a nice tuck-away system by Kymco.
The roofrack was purchased new when the car was picked up back in 68! Got the receipt for that too.....
Inside it has a genuine EMPI VDM steering wheel and a Flat-4 eliminator shifter. The original steering wheel and shifter come with it too.
There is also a MPH trip speedo. The Headliner is mint and there is a set of venetians in the rear too.
The parts on this cost more than what I'm selling it for! It's a great car and has never ever let me down.
The paintwork and body is in original condition. There is some very minor rust in the bottom of the rear guards but everywhere else is rock solid.
I'm after $6500 ono.

Oh and there's a tow bar too....
bloody hell, very very tempting
Oh and being a 68 it's disk brakes on the front and IRS in the back..
New Hella lenses on the rear too plus heaps of other bits I've forgotten......
Love that thing.
Good luck with the sale man... You will miss it when iits gone.

Thanks guys. I know I'll miss it for sure. One owner OG cars with full history don't pop up every day. I've grown quite attached to the old girl but I've got to be realistic I'm afraid........
buy it bruce..
hmmm. You aint going to like not having that around. That is one real reliable old type 3, cruised in that and driven it heaps.
Interested in trades??
No sorry. Need the space and the money....

Pete,
road trip from tassie, would be fun...
HAAA
Ive been around dak daks long enough to know that SOMETHING would have to break on the journey........
Something expensive too.... But thats why we love 'em hehe
That old girl wouldn't break, i been on plenty trips to the big island north of Tas loaded up to the roof with parts, I've never heard of that old square not getting there, never broke when i've been around it, or driving it. I'd drive that to Queensland without a second thought. Drive it up and call into Valla on the way!!

I recently drove a 57 split from melbourne to byron bay, not much broke, was a lot of fun
