Its with much regret that I have to put up for sale my fire engine red 62 Convertible Beetle (it was our wedding car). I've had this car for 5 years
and its never missed a beat, comes with loads of receipts for work done ($$).
The bad: We shipped 'Ralph' from Syd - Perth when we moved here earlier this year and had every intention of restoring him further - until TNT
damaged his front end in transport (Grr). Stupidly i didnt get insurance & I dont have the cash to fix him so reluctantly its someone else's
opportunity..
Im no mechanic but cosmetically it needs a new bonnet, new front bumper, the LH front wing needs tidying and it needs a new wheel disc - all
straightforward. The complex bit is the front tyre rubs when doing tight corners as the nose has been pushed in underneath so *it will need work*
otherwise the bonnet lid wont close either - as i say im no expert, it needs to be looked at by a pro.
There are a few other minor dints & scratches on the body as its been a daily driver (and its 46 years old!) but nothing major. The floor is a bit
rusty but it sails through rego every year (its been garaged at night for years). The interior is good, carpets are fine
The car is otherwise Very good - has loads of character and is a real headturner: engine and mechanics are excellent, doesnt even leak oil(!), good
brakes, new tyres, nice chrome twin exhausts (which cost me $600), excellent roof (comes with certificate for the conversion, done in 1991) dash is
excellent and original, electrics are good (12v) and everything works well. Its been lowered but could probably go down anther notch or 2 
Ralph is registered until Feb 2009 on NSW centennial plates (BUG197) so, assuming the buyer lives in Perth they will have to organise to transfer to
WA plates once work has been carried out). Its drivable as is with care
