nils what would your baja need to go through a roadworthy? my partner would ike it for daily driver and some fun :)

anyone seriously interested is best off calling or sms'ing me cause i really don't spent much time on aussievw,

ok, it's lifted alot. with the spindles, extended shock towers and COR cut out in the front clip, its getting 9-10 " of travel and would go further if the ball joints on the streering rods didn't top out first. Was planning on putting the box in the center of the beam eventually.

The rear has about 9" with the reduction boxes (which are small nut and a nightmare on the highway) and the top of the shocks are mounted inside the rear parcel shelf.

for a road worthy? hmm. . . . . . . . some time on your hands mainly and some door glass and regulaters ect. (they rusted, so i thru them out) would probably want to know someone who can look the other way on a few things, because although all the parts are vw (which the code of conduct allows), the brackets aren't. Otherwise the front end metal could use some attention, because of the travel involved i had to raise the fuel tank, then turn it around so that the filler stayed under the bonnet and clearance it for the long shock towers, by that time there wasn't much left. SO, undo the bumper, tank and fenders the front end falls off and leaves the car looking a bit like this, ------>

The nose cone actuall bolts to the beam bolts and where the tank used to, is acually stiffer than regular self tapered job

are we starting to understand why its cheap? is probably worth more in parts but can't be bothed
