i'm envious of this baja's setup. nice work, good price for all the tech in it.
Thats awesome! Can i just ask, how high has she been raised up at the front and rear?
This is a bargain for the amount of work nills put into it, still cant believe hes selling it now!
ellabella is looking for one contact them
terry
hey ellabell foind nills thanks terry, haha
nils what would your baja need to go through a roadworthy? my partner would ike it for daily driver and some fun
anyone seriously interested is best off calling or sms'ing me cause i really don't spent much time on aussievw,
ok, it's lifted alot. with the spindles, extended shock towers and COR cut out in the front clip, its getting 9-10 " of travel and would go further
if the ball joints on the streering rods didn't top out first. Was planning on putting the box in the center of the beam eventually.
The rear has about 9" with the reduction boxes (which are small nut and a nightmare on the highway) and the top of the shocks are mounted inside the
rear parcel shelf.
for a road worthy? hmm. . . . . . . . some time on your hands mainly and some door glass and regulaters ect. (they rusted, so i thru them out) would
probably want to know someone who can look the other way on a few things, because although all the parts are vw (which the code of conduct allows),
the brackets aren't. Otherwise the front end metal could use some attention, because of the travel involved i had to raise the fuel tank, then turn
it around so that the filler stayed under the bonnet and clearance it for the long shock towers, by that time there wasn't much left. SO, undo the
bumper, tank and fenders the front end falls off and leaves the car looking a bit like this, ------>
The nose cone actuall bolts to the beam bolts and where the tank used to, is acually stiffer than regular self tapered job
are we starting to understand why its cheap? is probably worth more in parts but can't be bothed
SO IS IT ASSMEBLED AS IN FOIST PIC AND WHERE IN QLD IS IT ?
JUST TRYIN TO HELP SELL.
its assembled and at caboolture, pics were taken when he was modifying it
it looks exactly as it does in the top picture, maybe dirtier, never was one to clean it (didn't win dog of the day for nothing i suppose)
take it for a spin if you want
im guessin you woudnt swap it for a boat mate 4.2 m inflateable on trailer with 25 on it
ha ha ha ha! nice try but not the boating type,
have had a couple of calls in the last few weeks about the car, and am sorry to those people but crisis ahs been averted and will be keeping herbie
for a while yet, see you all at dubs
yay, so i better pull my finger out again so we can hit the bush
damb right! i'll bring the angle grinder around!
