I have decided to put my baby on ebay soon, but I want to give you guys one last chance to pick her up. The price is now $5500. If you have
any questions let me know Here is the original post
Howdy everyone,
Well I have decided to sell my beloved kombi as I need to make room in my driveway. See is a 1976 baywindow kombi that I bought off BuggyBrad a few
years ago now. He told me that the body had only done 200K clicks but this cannot be confirmed. I sanded her back to steel, applied rust bullet and
then painted her in hammertone blue. The undercoat was sung a brush as I wanted the van to have a 3d feel, like a painting. The top coat(s) applied
via gun. There is absolutely no rust and the body is pretty straight. A couple window rubbers will need to be changed as they are a little tough and
split. It has a new windscreen rubber, driver and passenger trim as well as new door, tailgate, and rear hatch rubbers. The roof has not been chopped
for a pop top.
The interior carpet has been replaced with blue marine carpet and the roof has been done in the same. The seats (excluding front seats) have been
retrimmed and the door cards and interior panels done in the same material. The back seat is a fold out bed with an underseat cupboard giving more
storage space. A table has been installed with removable leg so it can be folded down. A second sear has been installed behind the drivers seat and
houses the amplifier for the in car dvd player (10" screen) and has a 20 amp circuit breaker (which was meant to be for a 4amp plug to use when
camping at caravan parks). An overheat cupboard has storage for clothes and anything else you might need for camping.
There is a pioneer head unit with 6" speakers installed in the front door cards as well as 4" speakers in the overhead cupboard. I have the
equipment that will allow the dvd player to run through your stereo and also have the components that allow tv to be received. The dash has been
resprayed and has an underdash tray and aftermarket clock installed near the speedo.
The van comes with a bullbar that has been resprayed in hammertone charcoal and has narva spotlights. The underbody has been rustbulleted and painted
black.
The engine is an 1800cc with a 1600box, I have started it a couple of times and seems to be fine. New exhaust has been fitted.
What needs to be done----
Needs a good service
New battery
RWC and Rego
Finish hooking up the DVD
I am looking to move this on before Xmas and I am asking $5500 for it but I am open to reasonable offers. I might consider swapping
for a split.

I love the retro stuff, plus I had a spare button and mech from my disused MAME machine
I might have a blue one to match the bus if you want ?
