[FS - NSW] L Bug 1974

For Sale: 1974 L BUG with 1500motor.
White with lilac pearl. Respray by Dennis Paynter in 2002.
good to fair condition.
Rego FL 4087 (TAS REGO TILL 25/1/09)
tinted windows with rubbers replaced in 02
carpet removed but available.

some small panel damage to front driver guard and rear passenger guard and rear bumper is bent a little. Spares avail for all three damaged parts.

Some small rust that i can see. ( rust was removed when resprayed- pics avail)

In the time i have had my bug he only has broken down twice!
elephant tail lights
battery 1 year old
5 tyres all with minimun 3/4 tread and hubcaps
rear suspension replaced on 10/07
goes well, its my current daily driver, a little noisy in the gear box

This was my first car and after 8 years its time to sell. (new project is almost ready)
I have has this car for a long time, he has gone with me from nsw, to qld (i lived there for a while) and then to tassie and back (i lived there too!)

I'm prepared to be shot down, but I don't know that what you have there is a 74 L Bug. As far as I'm aware the 74 L would have a curved windscreen and curved dash and the engine would be a 1600. The best way to check is to look at the spare wheel. If it lies on its side then you have a Super (but probably before 74), if it sits up at an angle then its a Beetle, but I would think without the 'L' designation. Others on here know the differences better than I and will be able to correct my mistakes.

Hi

Its 1300 bug, 4 wheel drums, swing axle rear end and beam front end. These were the povo pack Beetles that sold at a reduced price to combat the Japanese invasion of small cars.
