[FS - QLD] 1972 type 3 notchback automatic SOLD
66deluxe - December 29th, 2008 at 12:36 PM

Hi all, i have decided to sell my 1972 automatic notchback, i have had the car for 5 years and has been garaged for most of that time, i drove this car for about three weeks before the engine died and it has been in the shed ever since, i did complete a 1911 type 4 engine conversion for it but was offered good money for the engine by a friend who visited over the weekend and have since sold this engine to him for his 56 oval, therefore no engine. I have the original cooling shroud and fans for the stock type 3 engine but no cylinder tinware or carbs. I have all the conversion parts necessary for another type 4 to go into it if the buyer wants to go that way, i had the auto transmission overhauled also it was in very good original condition i have photos of the insides of the auto. I am selling due to the fact my 66 beetle is in the last stages of completion and i want to finish it and the notch is in the way. I fixed all rust what little of it there was and have installed new seal where necessary. I would like $1500 for it in its current condition i paid $5500 for it so i am cutiing my losses, this car did drive great when i originally got it, you only need an engine for it and you got a great original type 3. Photo's to come.

My Details are: Damien Haines
Murrumba Downs QLD 4503
pm or call me 0414604166
price $1500

Thank you Damo.

Is the date on the photos correct?

If yes, what does she look like now?

Hi Damo,

How much would you charge to build me an engine for it? I'm VERY tempted for Jonah.

Ta,
Kyra

Paint is a little faded but a polish will fix it. Kyznet i would build engine for cost of parts only, labour and installation is free.

MISS VDUB - January 2nd, 2009 at 04:47 PM

She was a nice little Notch in 2004... have you got any recent pics Damo?

You are one special mum!

That would be an awesome first ride!!! Get it now - store it and build the engine later!

Go Jonah!
