Tidy type 3 fastback with red dash (pigalle ?) on ebay
Euro_67 - December 29th, 2008 at 02:30 PM

Not my car, thought someone here might be interested !

Could it be a pigalle ?

Still very nice all the same.

The photos look a bit too grainy to be certain. If you look closely at the interior shot of the front, the speaker cover on the dash appears to be painted red with black patches (where paint may be peeling). The red handbrake cover is also a bit suss as I don't think they had that in the pigalle but I could be wrong. Still a good price so far (but under reserve so who knows what they are really asking for it).

He wants $5,990 or something, spoke to him last week.

This is a 1968 Fastback, so not a Pigalle. Adam is right in that the pigalles have a black handbrake cover, also this car has black armrests and late style dash which has been painted.

The thing that set off alarm bells was the smatterings of red to match the interior on items that would otherwise be interchangable between regular models. However, the paint peeling I was refering to, it could also be said that the origional dash was cracking and a later model speaker cover retro fitted and painted was used as a repair as the real deal is......unavailable.:smirk:

Still pretty reasonable for an early bodied type 3...................... It's not like you'd get a split bus for that price with rego!:tu:

heres another that pop't up tonight that looked strange...itemised as a 69 fastback to me looks like a 70 knotch with a pre 69 bonnet.? if thats possible.

Probably was a notch, but hard to tell without more pics of the rear.
Never seen this done before, but it looks like a 1969 or earlier body with late model indicators and bumpers.

Looks like a dogs breakfast is what it looks like:crazy:

I like the fastback though, especially for that price.

Check out the dodgily painted dash?? If you're gonna do it then do it right, not with some $2 reject shop paint.
Looks very promising though, he has been trying to sell that for ages.
