Cheers to those who have replied and I apologize for not being descriptive enough in my post so here is the edit...

after a beetle up to 1965 - prefer something like a rolling shell or un-restored. doesn't have to be complete as it will be a long term project. Prefer something that hasn't had any work done as i would like to do that myself. Panel damage and rust is welcome as im no stranger to the welder and angle grinder.

Realistically my budget to buy is around $500 - again im looking for something crappy and not a barn gem.
