Dam mate.
You have some really nice buggies for sale. i didn't think you would ever sell this little blue beast.
I sent you a message a little while back regarding the grey buggy but got no reply so invested in something else.
I have past on your info to a couple of other people.

I have also placed them on the manx club for you.

I dont have the money for the others, id say i will have a budget of around
8500 so i think this one would be closer to the money.
Can someone help me out with freight pricing ideas and re regoing it??
Dan

carpenters freight
Thanx Phil i will look into it, n see how i go
What are the different front ends,
"bj too to 181 front end will bolt in"
some more pics
the roll cage is tied in with the rear bar on this beast
has a front hoop as well
rego'd prev as a 4 seater still has seatbelts and unupholstered rear seat (not fitted in this pic)
BJ front end is the standard balljoint front end that is on the beetle. They also have Ball joints opposing each other where they connect to the
spindles. This will be fine in most applications, but for serious offroading, there is the potential to pop one out.
181 front end is the beefed up, super tough front end that came out on the Country Buggy. It has bigger balljoints (well everything is bigger) and
they are in the same orientation where they connect to the spindles.
If you want a tough off roader with excellent clearance in the front end - you would go 181.
Mind you they are not cheap and parts are getting harder to find. You are probably looking at $1500 or more to change your front end over.
Billy can you tell me a bit more about her,
Do you no its past or does anybody on here no its past?????
1. The pan condition?
2. Box in her?
3. Engine kms? Cond? Smokey?
4. Body condition?
5. needs caliper kit though front?
Sorry about all the questions but its hard not being able to look at it,
would you be able to send a heap more pics of her to my email address?
If your not toooo busy fishing
Cheers
Dan

ok couple of emails asking for dimensions for shipping
3400 x 1700 x 1400
off to rugby world cup in Dubai tonight so give me time to respond to your emails/pm's
if your keen to buy i can give you bank details and arrange for vehicle to go to Suva (if you organise shipping) or Aus if you want me to ship
Looks like i was too slow making up my mind, i think its goooooone
Billy, this is what i have found out today.
1. After several checks with the Aust Customs they have informed me that if you do not inport the buggy in your name i get slugged with 10% GST and
10% Import Duty as the vehicle has been registered i another Country.
2. I then was put on to AQIS (Australian Quarantine & Inspection Service)
who told me the vehcile has to be cleaned, "as new" (no soil, seeds, grass) prior to shipping to Australia (hopefully the PFL do or organise this).
9 times out of 10 they need to be re steam cleaned then re inspected. Approx costing Steam clean $400 + $89 per 1/2 hour needed. Generally 1k is
exceeded very quickly
3. Once the buggy has landed it is then subject to a wharf fees, about $400 to take off the vessel and to quarantine inspections depot.
At the moment i am still waiting for returned calls with further info.
The shipping side of things was as you stated above about $2000 but it has to be in your name, and passed through Customs ready for me to pick up.
Also there is the a "Approval to Import Notice", which has to
be lodged by the importer, which takes 3 wks minimum to
be approved .
I do like it, but till its in Australia for sale without any dramas or hidden costs im out.
Good luck with them man, there nice buggies
Dan
Billy have you already got the "Approval to Import Notice", cause that takes a
minimum of 3 weeks to get approved
"minus the gst and duty $6000aud
doesnt anyone want a cheap buggy"
Ropate
In Australia for $6000aud without GST and DUTY because it
will have to come in in Billys name, so the above does not count
as he is just bringing HIS vehicle back into the country.
Sounds pretty good as long as it gets past through Customs quarantine
inspection Means it has to be cleaned properly over there in Fiji.
The aproval to import has to be done becasue it may not get approved.
If it is re entered into the coultry by anybody else other
than Billy, the person who took the vehicle out of Australia
they will be charged to 10%GST and 10%Duty.
I have spoken to Customs several times and it is all sweet
as long as it comes back into the country by the person who
shipped it out.
So all good there Ropate Customs have been fine with it.

Yeah sweet no dramas, so due to there being
no GST and Duty Tax, it woud be 6000aud??
Shipping has to be arranged by billy so the buyer does not have to pay
Import Duty n GST, I will pay 6000 if this is done. If the buyer has to
organise the shipping and the vehicle arrives in Aust not cleaned as per Quarantine
requirements they will have to foot the bill to have the vehcile taken
to Quarantine and cleaned. Can easily cost over $1000 - $2000 easily due to their high fees.
Speak to Billy and let me no what he says,
if not i will purchase a buggy here without
any dramas.
I do like the lil blue buggy but dont want any
dramas with shipping.
Thanks mate, talk soon
No that is not the same vehicle.
Will wait till you get back to me in the morning then.
Can you take any other pics of the engine and general inside pics???
Dan
Billy
Just another Question on the Lil Blue Buggy,
Is it previously registered as a buggy or a vw beetle?
buggy was rego'd as buggy not a beetle
