[FS - NSW] Beach Buggy Fiberfab RAT with Subaru EJ20 engine.

Long Wheelbase Fiberfab body - Metallic Blue with purple pearl
Built from the ground up 4-5 Years ago and still in fairly good condition apart from general wear and tear (some small scratches, couple of chips etc).
1967 VW beetle chassis with 50x25mm RHS for extra strength (See photo).
Balljoint front and IRS conversion at the rear (type III heavy duty torsion bars). Gas Struts all around.
Just put a new replacement engine in (still with 2 months warranty). Engine is a subaru EJ20 2ltr from a 98 model Impreza. Engine is a low km jap import.

Microtec LT10S engine computer, dyno tuned to 95hp at the wheels. (+handset)
2" Stainless steel exhaust including catalytic converter and muffler.
Custom made rear rollbar, front rollbar/windscreen and side intrusion bars hidden undernearth the fiberglass sidepods. It is essentially a 6point rollcage built to withstand a rollover.
VL turbo fuel pump, Facet LP pump and custom fuel surge tank.
Holden Barina radiator with custom end tanks and stainless steel piping. Fiberglass cover with scoop over the top (not in all the photos).
Kombi 1800 gearbox
Kombi CV joints and custom axles.
Sherman Rear disc brakes (Ford Falcon stud pattern)
V-force front discs (same falcon stud pattern)
Sherman Subaru-VW adaptor plate
Kennedy stage 2 heavy duty clutch
JVC CD/Radio (cd mech not working - stuck with sand). 6.5" Kevlar split speakers front/rear.
3 point remote immobiliser/alarm system
Fiberglass padded dash with custom made dials.
6.5" Falcon mag wheels with all terrain tyres.

No known problems with the car apart from CD player. No structural rust (whole chassis was stripped and painted 5 years ago). Whole underneath was coated with underbody spray and all still intact. Car is washed after each trip to the beach.

Just got a new buggy registered and on the road, and this is the reason for sale.

Price $12,000. NSW rego to March 2010.

Price drop to $12,000. Now that its becoming buggy weather again and my new buggy should be back on the road soon, this is back up for sale.
