72 s beetle, bought this car intending to restore while using it as my daily. that never happened due to unstable work etc.

start with the bad:
Rust: previous owner did some repairs near the rear window , some rust inside the wheel arches few holes 20c size, bonnet is pretty stuffed rust and someone backed into it. that's the major rust stuff.
exhaust is awfully noisy and is not standard.
missing window winding handles
drivers side outside door handle is broken
rear suspension and rear bushes need replacing.
was involved in a minor crash where i side swiped a tree, front left fender, strut replaced. bit of body damage around that area too

also the gear box is clunky.

the good:
floor has one small rust hole under the drivers seat,
engine runs well and starts first time every time, no leaks minimal smoke. converted to 12v and has been upgraded to alternator. all electrics work. reasonable tires on stock rims with hubcaps

i also have a unassembled 1600 single prt with new gaskets, piston rings etc, i was told it was complete by the previous owner, dont know enough to confirm this.
